TAMA Abe Cunningham Signature Snare

TAMA will soon present a brand new snare- signature model from Deftones drummer, Abe Cunnigham.

Snare will come in 14×6” size, with a specially grinded finish. It will also feature four 2” diameter vent holes, which will contribute a bright attack without losing the articulate tone of the thicker brass shell. The artist, along with TAMA company, wanted to develop a drum, which will be “thunderous”, dynamic, clear, and suitable for different musical genres. Their idea was to put the sound of two snares used by the musician over the years, Tama Bell Brass and a vented maple snare, in one instrument. TAMA Abe Cunningham Signature Snare will be available from mid- July, in extremely limited numbers.

Here is what Abe Cunningham has to say about his signature model:

“I am beyond excited to present to you my signature snare drum. Over the last couple of years TAMA and I have been tossing ideas back and forth with the hopes of developing a THUNDEROUS yet extremely dynamic and articulate snare drum that would be suitable in a variety of musical situations. The idea was to create a drum that would meld two of my favorite snares together, two drums that I have used for years. One being a TAMA Bell Brass and the other a vented maple snare.”
