Sabian introduce the new Crescent Series
Having acquired the Crescent Cymbals brand, the Canadian cymbal maker introduce a new series called Sabian Crescent.
Those are traditionally-crafted instruments that are thin and dark-sounding. The new SABIAN Crescent line will include Stanton Moore, Hammertone and Elements models.
Sabian have also enlisted three more prominent drummers on their endrsement roster:
Gregg Bissonette – Grammy Award winner, currently working with Ringo Starr’s All Starr Band, who has played with such artists as: David Lee Roth, Joe Satriani, Toto, Jeff Lynne & ELO, Andy Summers and Ray Charles.
Bernie Dresel – 5-time Grammy Award winner, currently leading his own big band The BBB featuring Bernie Dresel, who has played with such artists as: David Byrne, Chaka Khan, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Ringo Starr and LA Philharmonic.
Pete Lockett – drummer and percussionist famous for his involvement with world music but also a session ace, who has played with Björk, Peter Gabriel, Bill Bruford, Jeff Beck, Noel Gallagher, Robert Plant, The Verve, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Dave Weckl, Phil Manzanera, Primal Scream, Steve Smith, Rory Gallagher, Peter Murphy (Bauhaus), Pet Shop Boys, Amy Winehouse.
