BeatIt visit Zildjian Cymbals booth during NAMM Show 2017

NAMM Show is the biggest and most important event of this type in the world. As simple as that. The immensity of Anaheim Convention Center, where the event takes place, combined with the fact that the building is far from empty during that time, offering to thousands of visitors hundreds of big and small booths is the best testimony to that statement. You just have to experience it!

Having limited ourselves and our reports solely to drum-related (which is only natural) we can still say that all the greatest companies of the drumming business (ZILDJIAN surely fall in this category), all those who count in this business and those who are working hard to achieve such a status attended NAMM Show 2017 as exhibitors. Also, we must not forget the artists who were present in Anaheim this year. Those included the likes of Vinnie Colaiuta, Benny Greb, Mike Johnston, Danny Carey, Nicko McBrain, John JR Robinson, Marvin ‘Smitty’ Smith, Daru Jones, Gregg Bissonette, Rick Latham, Vinny Appice, Mikkey Dee, Gergo Borlai as well as Zildjian endorsers – the great, the inimitable Steve Gadd and Steve Smith. You can believe us when we say that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Newest offerings from the Zildjian brand

While visiting the booths and stands at Anaheim Convention Center, naturally, we had to stop by at Zildjian’s. Not only because one just doesn’t ignore the big ones, but also to try out some of the new toys from this manufacturer of top-quality cymbals and make a report from that for our viewers, which we are doing just now. All the new products from the brand’s 2017 catalogue will be presented to you by Paul Francis – Director of Research & Development at ZILDJIAN. Feast your eyes (and ears) on the new, comprehensive Zildjian K Custom Special Dry series, which includes the following dry-sounding cymbals: the Zildjian K Custom Special Dry Series 10″ Splash, crashes sized 16″ to 22″, 21″ i 23″ rides, Trash Crashes sized 17″, 19″, 21″, the 18″ Trash China, 13″, 14″, 15″ hats as well as the FX Hat Top, which can be paired with a bottom of any type. You will also see and hear two new models from the Zildjian Low Volume family of cymbals, i.e. the Zildjian Low Volume 10″ Splash and the 20″ ride.
