Craviotto Drums at NAMM Show 2017

NAMM Show is the biggest and most important event of this type in the world. Blunt but that’s the way it is. Thousands of manufacturers of all musical instruments imaginable (including drums, percussion and accessories), PA systems, microphones, software or companies rendering services for the music industry combined with tens of thousands of visitors at Anahaeim Convention Center, all of whom are the representatives of different branches of the music business. All of this happens every year in January and this year was no different. You just need to see it for yourselves, if you havent so far…

Having limited ourselves and our reports solely to drum-related (which is only natural) we can still say that all the greats of the drumming business (Paiste, Zildjian, Sabian, Meinl, DW, Gretsch, Tama, Yamaha, Pearl, etc.), all those whose merits are unquestionable and who count in this business (Istanbul Agop, Istanbul Mehmet, Mapex, Dixon, CRAVIOTTO Drums) and those who wish to achieve such a status (the Canadian sticks and accesories manufacturers Headhunters, our countrymen from the Polyend company or accessories dealers Big Bang Distribubtion) attended NAMM 2017 as exhibitors. Also, we must not forget the artists who were present in Anaheim this year. Those included the likes of Steve Gadd, Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Smith, Marvin “Smitty” Smith, John JR Robinson, Benny Greb, Mike Johnston, Gregg Bissonette, Rick Latham, Vinny Appice, Danny Carey, Nicko McBrain, Daru Jones, Mikkey Dee, Gergo Borlai or Russ Miller. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg…

Craviotto Booth at NAMM Show 2017

New products from Craviotto Drums for 2017

Obviously, we had to stop by at CRAVIOTTO booth. The company is arguably the most recognizable and widely respected small-sized drums manufacturer in the world. The company’s representatives are determined to continue after master drum builder and company founder John Craviotto died last year. Time will tell how it goes for them. Right now, all we can do is show you what they have to offer for this year as all the instruments are very interesting. Here are snare drums made from bubinga, sycamore (beautiful instrument!!!), black acacia and paduk, the company’s first ever full hickory drum kit as well as a brand new set made from European beech (snare drums have been made from both types of wood for some time now).

We give you new offerings from CRAVIOTTO Drums for this year. Straight from NAMM Show!
