> > > Meinl Percussion Festival 2018: “World of Sound” workshop

As we have already informed, on June 23, 2018, Meinl HQ in the German town of Gutenstetten will host an festival called Meinl Percussion Festival 2018, which is directed to all fans of percussion instruments.

As part of the festival, the organizers invite you to a series of workshops. One of them will be hosted by Lucia Nosko, Holger Mertin and Don Conreaux. It is called “World of Sound” and will cover the following topics:

  • Sound experience (handpans/steel tongue drums/frame drums)
  • Sound bath meditation
  • All about gongs.

Lucia Nosko is Slovak and lives in Bratislava. She deals with sound therapy (Sound Healing Slovakia) and teaches yoga.

Holger Mertin is a German, Cologne-based multipercussionist and specialist in rhythmic traditions. He has collaborated with internationally renowned musicians and artists, among others Jaki Liebezeit (Can), Eberhard Kranemann (Ex-Kraftwerk), Martin Sasse (Sting, Martin Sasse Trio), Roland Peil (Die Fantastischen Vier) and Ali Haurand (European Jazz Ensemble).

Don Conreaux is one of the five original Kundalini Yoga Teachers designated by Yogi Bhajan in 1969 and a gong specialist, which he treats as therapy tools.
