“Forbes” magazine has published its annual ranking of the highest-grossing celebrities. The top position is occupied by Taylor Swift, who has made 170 million dollars over the last 12 months. We, however, are more interested in celebrities sitting behind drum kits.
Position no. 17 is held by AC/DC, who made 67.5 million but Chris Slade (who is not the band’s permanent member) surely gets a much smaller piece of the cake than the others.
Next in line are The Rolling Stones, who made 66.5 million for doing 27 concerts, U2 hold position no. 30 with 55 million, while very handsome results were reached by Muse (no. 44, 49 million) and Foo Fighters (no. 45 with 48.5 million).
This would imply that, in the period between June 2015 and June 2016, the highest-earning drummers in the world were:
Charlie Watts,
Larry Mullen Jr,
Dominic Howard
and
Taylor Hawkins.
