> > Drum Fest 2016: Kinga Głyk Trio

This year’s edition of the DRUM FEST festival is in full swing. Let us remind you of yet another event awaiting music lovers today.

Kinga Głyk – the 19-year-old bass prodigy from Poland – will perform with her trio at Chorzowskie Centrum Kultury.

Despite her young age, Kinga has played more than 100 concerts around Poland and abroad. She has played with outstanding musicians from the Polish music scene. Her adventure with music began at the age of 12, when she became a part of the family Głyk PIK Trio with her father Irek (well known vibraphonist and drummer) and her brother Patrick (drums).

Despite her young age, she has already played with many great musicians like Robinson Jr., Bernard Maseli, Ruth Waldron, Natalia Niemen, Jorgos Skolias, Apostolis Anthimos, Leszek Winder, Paweł Tomaszewski, Grzegorz Kopolka, Joachim Mencel, Arek Skolik, Mateusz Otremba (Mate.o), Marek Dykta, and Piotr Wyleżoł. Today, Kinga Głyk is considered the best Polish bassist representing the young generation and she is a rising star of jazz and blues music.
