> > > BeatIt Presents: Dixon PX-AH-HP Stick Holder

When occupying the Poznań-based Perlazza Studio under the sonic supervision of renowned musician, (Acid Drinkers, Guess Why), sound engineer, award-winning producer and, first and foremost, an utter drum maniac, Przemysław Wejmann, we tested a number of snare drums and whole lot of hardware and drum accessories from Dixon Drums. To be more precise, it was drummer Tomasz Mądzielewski, who tested all the gear while the beatit.tv team played the role of camera operators and the sound engineer took care of the sonic side of things. We have already posted a number of results of that session, i. e. tests of the following snare drums: Dixon Gregg Bissonette Signature (see HERE), Dixon PDS7554CPH-DN (see HERE) and Dixon PDS7554EB-DN (see HERE), but we have also taken a closer look at the Dixon PAMF 1621 snare drum muffler and the PAKE-IVBR-BP drum key. Now, it is time for the Dixon PX-AH-HP stick holder. We have received the snare drums and all the other equipment courtesy of the official Polish Dixon distributor – the SoundTrade company.

Tomasz Mądzielewski, as an offical Dixon endorser in Poland, a great drummer, who has collaborated with a host of popular acts in Poland, such as Grażyna Łobaszewska, Pilichowski Band, Mrozu, Anna Karwan, Lion Shepherd, Mela Koteluk, Monika Borzym, Honorata “Honey” Skarbek, Kasia Klich, Sidney Polak, Filip Sojka, Marek Raduli, Leszek Cichoński, Donatan i Cleo, the Sound’n‘Grace choir, was perfect for the role of ’lab tester’. Needless to say, he was more than eager and happy to do the job.

We are testing the Dixon PX-AH-HP Stick Holder

Dixon PX-AH-HP is a very nice stick holder. It is open (i. e. there is no lid to cover the top), soft and made from black nylon. It is easily attached to any stand with the help of a metal clamp. Apart from sticks (it can hold 8 pairs), mallets, beaters, hot rods and all types of hitting devices, the holder can also be used to put a bottle or can of a beverage in. It can easily hold a 0.7 liter bottle of…mineral water, but a 1 liter bottle should also be ok, let alone 0.33 l and 0.5 l tin cans. The design and quality leave nothing to be desired. The product is not equipped in any NASA technologies, but that is not what it’s about in this case. The Dixon PX-AH-HP stick holder is simply worthy of drummers’ attention and we can recommend it to everybody.
