BeatIt Days at the 21st Annual Przystanek Woodstock Festival
Drummers and Drummerettes! We invite all drum freaks out there and those who follow our channel to the 21st annual Przystanek Woodstock Festival in Kostrzyn nad Odrą, Poland.
Between July 30 and – August 1, 2015, we are organizing and conducting an event we have named BeatIt Days. There will be all kinds of attractions for drum lovers including: gear presentations, drum-playing shows as well as contests and quizzes with interesting and valuable prizes to win. The event will be held in cooperation with the mobile phone operator PLAY, with contributions from Roland Polska, ADA Music – the Polish Zildjian and Ludwig distributor as wel as Avant Drum Shop (drumshop.pl).
The biggest contest related to BeatIt Days is the Drum Battle, which will take place on the smallest Festival stage sponsored by the mobile phone operator PLAY on Friday, July 31st, 2015.
Drum Battle contest rules:
1. Anyone who has signed up compliant with the directions in section 13 may participate in the contest
2. Contenders who have previously signed up compete on two kits in the form of a knock-out tournament
3. The audience and a panel of jurors chooses the winners
4. Contenders compete using the gear provided by BeatIt. Gear set-up may not be rearranged or added to
5. Left-handed contenders are required to notify BeatIt of that fact when signing up
6. Contenders play to the tracks provided by the DJ and are not allowed to use backing tracks of their own
7. By signing up for the Drum Battle contest each participant acknowledges the fact that the event will be recorded (video and sound) and expresses consent to publishing his or her image and performance. If a contender does not wish to be recorded or his or her image and performance to be published, such contender is automatically rendered unfit for participating
8. BeatIt owners, employees or collaborators may not enter the contest
9. Main Prize is an AVEDIS ZILDJIAN cymbal pack sponsored by ADA MUSIC – the Polish Zildjian distributor
10. BeatIt reserves the right to award additional prizes, which does not constitute an obligation to do so
11. Participants in the Drum Battle contest are obligated to conduct themselves properly when onstage. It is not allowed to:
– damage or destroy the equipment on stage
– make obscene gestures and remarks
– make gestures or remarks of rasist and sexist nature
12. If inebriated or otherwise intoxicated, a contender will be prevented from participating in the contest despite having previously signed up
