Alan White has been the drummer with prog legends Yes for over 40 years. He is also a session player, whose drumming can be heard on John Lennon’s timeless classic “Imagine“.
Alan White has recently issued a statement on the band’s official social media informing why he was forced to go off tour during the Yes summer tour of the US due to a back injury he had sustained halfway through a series of shows in spring this year. A surgery has already been performed and seems to have brought positive results.
No exact date for the drummer to sit behind the kit again has been set but he says he “should rejoin the summer Yes tour in the near future“. In the meantime, Jay Schellen (Asia) sits in for Mr. White.
